Overview

Arbour Blooms is a Dublin florist with more than 30 years of trading and shops in Skerries and Swords. The project moved its online shop to Shopify and redesigned the buying experience along the way.

The Problem

Buying flowers is rarely a browsing exercise. People shop against a deadline and an occasion: a birthday, an anniversary, a funeral. A shop organised like a catalogue makes them work out what suits the moment. Add two shop locations and delivery rules, and it gets confusing quickly.

What I Did, And Why

I organised the shop around occasions first, because that's how people actually start. The navigation opens with anniversary, birthday, congratulations, get well soon, thank you and sympathy, and only then moves on to best sellers, seasons and styles.

What Came Out Of It

The shop is live at arbourblooms.ie on Shopify, and it loads fast: the main content appears in about one second.
